Donations needed to winterize camps

Winter is coming, so is the rain and snow and freezing cold temperatures that can be potentially fatal for those living unhoused. The supplies CEDAR outreach workers give to our clients when they visit the encampments are all donations we receive from the community.

We are now looking for the following donations to fill up our CEDAR outreach van and give directly to our clients living in encampments:

  • Winter clothes and accessories: 

    • Thick winter jackets of all sizes

    • Rain jackets or ponchos of all sizes

    • Thick socks

    • Toques and hats

    • Scarves

    • Gloves and mittens

    • Hand and foot warmers

    • Long-sleeved shirts

    • Fuzzy leggings

    • Long underwear

  • Gear to winterize tents:

    • Thermal sleeping bags

    • Tarps

    • Emergency blankets

    • Blankets

  • Hygiene Kits

    • Shampoo and Conditioner

    • Soap and body wash

    • Toothbrushes, toothpaste, and lip balm

    • Feminine hygiene products

    • Mens and womens underwear

    • Deodorant

    • Body wipes

    • Mini tissue packets

  • Non-perishable Food Items:

    • Granola and protein bars

    • Bottled water

    • Electrolyte powder
