Prevention & Diversion
Reducing and Preventing Homelessness in Abbotsford
Prevention
We aim to keep people housed, preventing them from entering the shelter system or sleeping rough outside.
Diversion
We work quickly to find immediate housing solutions for those recently experiencing homeless.
Supporting those at risk
We assist Abbotsford residents at risk of homelessness or those who have recently began experiencing homelessness by providing comprehensive support and resources.
Bridging the gap between landlords and tenants
Our dedicated caseworkers act as mediators between landlords and tenants. We facilitate communication and conflict resolution to ensure stable housing situations and to help clients navigate the rental market effectively.
Rent & Damage Deposit Subsidies
We provide rent supplements to tenants in crisis or facing eviction. We also provide supplements for damage deposits for those entering into a new tenancy agreement.
“It’s there for people in crisis. We are, as British Columbians, all struggling right now. And to have a community-accessible, non-judgemental program that is just a phone call away is really beneficial to our community.”
